Cori Amenta - Issue 5 ESCAPE Curated By AKMAL SHAUKAT

Nothing in the life of Cori Amenta was simple and linear. Maybe, the essentials are the lapidary phrases that stigmatize behavior, people and all the truth that surrounds her. Essential in precision and management as that of a knife, but certainly not in the form of metaphorical baroque traits that are cryptic. Cori Amenta is one of the most interesting characters exploded in the scene of Italian fashion. From student of fashion Marangoni Institute, the more listed school of Italian fashion, stylist for a magazine, for people and for international companies. Cori Amenta reinvented herself this season as a shoe designer, for an original and bold project. For a long time she’s looking for shoes that have style, glamour and charm even in numbers for more than 40, Cori has decided to fill this empty unbearable world because fashion is her life and she also does it with fun. First of all, she thinks about structural elements that make it also beautiful to look at and not having to feel bad because the proportions are exaggerated. Then she adds her exuberant and super stylish soul. The fact that Cori Amenta is a transgender does not diminish her from a definition of a woman and the value of her project. In Cori Amenta’s collection, the irony is the core project, she has elected herself as an icon and she prints her face on the shoes in perfect Andy Warhol style. The project is in the beginning state but it will reserve a great development as its designer. Her open-mindedness is mixed with joy for this work, for the life, dream and colors. It’s an example of a positive way and singular path of life; it’s also an example of a company which will not sacrifice the heart for the business. The limits, often, stimulates. Big feet, gender, color of the skin aren’t limitations to her. In her neutral and nice exuberance there is project of fashion, which seems to allude and refer only to glam, beauty and ethics of great interest.
